The piano

WALT write a descriptive piece of writing from the old man’s point of view as he recalls his memories.

I am a wrinkly old man they call me creepy Joe but I'm good at the piano.I’m going to play my piano today I'm playing it really good at it. As I look beside me I see my wife's ghost I remember the day she died. It was sad we were walking on the bridge to go on a cruise ship. As we were going on the ship she slipped over and broke her leg and. Fell into the water and drowned a tear dropped on one of the keys .It made it sound bad I was being booed at. Then I remember world war 1 as me and my brother hid behind a fallen house. My brother went to go and shoot the other people but he was late to the trigger. “NOOOOOOOOO” I scream and cry. I went rage and got my minigun “ARGHHHHHHHH” I grunt and. I won the war and meet my wife and had the tragic cruise accident. Now I remember when I got my first birthday present. It was a wooden scooter horse. I was so happy that when I played with it was like I was in a horse race. Yippee I yelled then my dad yelled at me and gave me a hiding.I cried so hard I went to the music shop with my mum. we got a little kid piano toy I was so happy it was my second toy I ever got because my family were poor. when I was older I got a job at the music shop because I worked there I got half price on everything I had I brought a thousand dollars with me. The rest of my money was at my house I went to buy a one thousand dollar piano and I remembered. That I could get two I put one in my car and get the other one shipped. One for me and one for my wife. My grandson comes over to play the piano.I fall of my chair and die and my grandson was lonely.

#45I’m sure you won’t have missed the events in Barcelona, Spain this week or the devastation caused by the mud slide in Sierre Leone and the violence in Charlottesville, Virginia. The prompt this week uses the emotions that the media has shown us

I was in a speed boat, going fast  when all of a sudden, a huge wave came rushing towards me. I started speeding, the boat went whizzing past a cop boat.The water level was rising as the tsunami was flooding the city.The tallest building in the city was flooding, so fast you could just see the spiky antenna of the building. I found a beach, I went to a small island. A couple of days later it dried up. I went to the airport and went home I watched the news from the couch, it had the tsunami.

I was outside and did a little fart I got out my wand and turned it into a tornado. Suddenly it turned to fire and gas. Donald trump came out and said “Pew wee what's that smell”.I said “because Donald trump is a dump.No I am not said Donald trump get out. Then the fart tornado suck up Donald trump “NOOOOOO” screeched Donald trump.I'm leveling said the magic man. The white house broke  into pieces.Donald yelled get out of america now.I became a hobo in new Zealand.

But then someone gave me 2,000,000 dollars I was rich. I bought a mansion I did magic. But then I was poor again oh no . I made a tornado again My pram flew into the air.then I sold all my magic things  for my rent.I brought my wand back and made lots of money with it.but then the  police found out and tried to arrest me.They put me in jail but I kept my wand and broke out of jail.there was a guard that helped me get out.I got in my getaway Bugatti. It was as fast as a cheetah we got away .

Hi my name is Carter and I'm a diver in the Pacific Ocean. I got told to find a massive shipwreck with treasure.There was a legend that whoever gets it will be rich forever and will get a good job. Oh what I dream to have a mansion, five dogs, one cat and thirty hamsters.

My friend is also a diver, he just got bitten by a hammerhead shark. The blood was making the sea red and I was frightened.“AHHHHHHH” came a cold chill voice from another diver, a big great white just gulped him down.

A shark is swimming faster and faster and coming right towards me. An orca hit his black and white head at the grey monster.I see a whole lot of orcas, I could go but I didn’t. I touched the orca’s smooth skin. Then I went home and watched TV.

I was a hitchhiker in someone's Lamborghini going 100 miles per hour, then all of a sudden lightning struck my exhaust pipe.The car did a triple backflip into a cave and the person in the car broke his back and neck -  he was dead, I gasped.

I decided to go deeper into the cave, I saw something glistening like greenstone. It was a crystal with lightning flashing out of it.

weeks later, I was a professional rock climber for the finals. I had to climb up the same mountain and I got hit by lightning again, fell and died.

Interlang

WALT be cybersmart using a game called Interland. In this game there are 4 different cyber worlds each focusing on a different part of cyber smart. The green mountain which is the one we started with is about being kind and caring. I got to the top of this mountain and scored 315 see my screenshot below.

Then I decided to have a go at the Tower of Treasure which is about making a strong password.

I like learning about cyber smart by using this game.

Nobody today has seen a live moa – the bird is extinct.

The things we know about the moa come from accounts left by people who saw it in the past, and from the studies of scientists.

Thousands and thousands of moas have lived and died here, but their bodies have all rotted away long ago. In order to find out how the moa looked and lived, scientists must study the things which are still left – mainly bones.

As well as the bones, people often find little heaps of stones which came from the bird's gizzard. The moa swallowed these stones to help grind up its food. And in very dry parts of New Zealand, people have even found skin and feathers, still stuck to dried-up moa bones.

If you have been to a museum, you may have seen a model of a moa. The model has been built by using all this information as a guide.

Model-building is not very difficult to do. We have lots of moa bones. If you put a set of bones together to make a skeleton, you then have a shape of the bird.

There are places on the bones which show where the muscles should go. You can model the muscles from a plastic material and put them on to the skeleton. Then you put a skin over it.

It is more difficult to find the right sort of feathers. Most models use emu feathers. The moa feathers which have been found look soft and droopy, like emu feathers. But they have more colour than those of the emu – they are golden-brown, with a purple streak down the middle.

Even so, these feathers may be faded. Some early Maori, who were asked about moas, said that they had bright, bright feathers. It may be that the moa was more brightly coloured than the models that you see in the museum.

One day I was doing my thing I do everyday driving a cargo ship . Some smelly pirates go on to my brand new cargo ship with their muddy feet . I tell them get off then they shot a crew member . The leader went up to me and said “ you know who I am i’m ,the new captain so give me the keys GIVE ME THE KEYS” “no” I say in a nice voice . Then he threatened me and he said “ give me your keys or I will shoot one of your crew members .” I give him the keys.

Then they open up a container a robot comes out then millions come out and one goes “BOO” in a loud and creaky voice . All the pirates scatter I was laughing hard out one robot tripped a pirate over. One robot scared someone and made him jump into the water but the, robot throws him a life jacket. Two robots were wrapping some pirates up then Max Gross the red robot taped on the captain.

Everyone was surrendering, smelly odor was coming out of there armpits. The robot gives me the keys. I say to the second in charge “what happened stays here” then I walked away.

I go and make another coffee nothing bad was going to happen. I put the key in something. The radar came on and a meteor hits the middle of the ship, and it sinks and one robot saves me .     

The cloud

I’m just a normal cloud I depart from my cloud family. I came from the sea I was made by a mad scientist. I’m meant to help people in need.I’m not just a normal cloud I'm a cloud that spies, on people who mug people and bullied people. I go through the traffic lights it makes it look like it is my heart but it's not. I go in between two buildings but the more I saw the more I did.I get electrocuted a dog barks at me so I move out and ,the more I did the more I became. I saw a fire the firefighters were trying so hard but they never succeed so I help the fire was gone in a second.I was a cloud made of more the end.

I am a Eskimo I go outside of my cosy house.

I go to twist  this metal rod on  the āporo tree. I’m 99 years old and my birthday is tomorrow  and I will be 100. I see a yellow box I touch it and it fires me into the āporo tree, heaps of āporo come on the tree.

I get greedy the box starts moving to my stupid neighbours house. I start to get into a deep run my neighbours comes out and say “HI TOM” then I say “GET AWAY BOB OR I WILL PUNCH YOU IN THE NOGGIN.” I trap the box “HA” I say I jump onto it my hand turns orange I go to walk home.

Pop my foot turns into a box I move my other foot it goes into the box I fall over. I start crawling to Tom's house “TOM HELP ME TOM’’ Tom was laughing pop I was the box now

One day I was at the washing mat reading a book.I yawned I saw something in the washing machine.

I go for another look it was a sock fish I rubbed my eyes Just to see if I was seeing things, then I opened the washing machine surprising. The water didn’t fall out I hold my breath I see all the lose change seaweed.

I jump in  I saw all the sock fish t-shirt squids. I see the glowing fish I swim after it then the fish swims away.

then there was the jean shark I scream but no one can save me. I swim behind a bit of coin seaweed I see the exit. I was swimming so hard it felt like my legs were going to come off. the Shark was going to bite me I close my eyes in my head. I say “this is it i'm doomed” I opened my eyes.

I was on the floor of the washing mat. I had a frown I was going to touch the jeans. A voice said “I think those a mine” I look up I saw a shark man. I go to grab his jeans they try to bite me.            

This is my DLO the WALT  is we are leaning to solve addition and subtraction with problems  that are easily related
