drama

for the first day of drama we said what we found fun and what made us happy so I said I stayed at home and I was lazy then we had to make a slam poem and I don't like poetry and I don't think my group did either as we just stood there and laughed the whole time because we were nervous and that was pretty much it and this is the video we are the first group

recycling

What is a carbon footprint? a carbon footprint is what  you leave behind that effects the world

How can you make your Carbon Footprint smaller? not using as much energy

AT WHAT RATES DO DIFFERENT ITEMS DECOMPOSE?

MY INVESTIGATION.

Image result for rates of decomposition

Name: coke can

  1. How long do they take to decompose? 200-400 years
  2. What resource / fossil fuel are they made from? coal
  3. How is this resource recycled? it can get melted down
  4. How does this object contribute to climate change? pollution
Name: leaves
  1. How long do they take to decompose? 1-3 months
  2. What resource / fossil fuel are they made from? trees
  3. How is this resource recycled? compost
  4.  How does this object contribute to climate change? greenhouse gas

Name: paper

  1. How long do they take to decompose? 2-4 weeks
  2. What resource / fossil fuel are they made from? trees
  3. How is this resource recycled? gets made into other things
  4.  How does this object contribute to climate change? pollution
Name: Styrofoam

  1. How long do they take to decompose? never
  2. What resource / fossil fuel are they made from? coal
  3. How is this resource recycled? it can get melted
  4.  How does this object contribute to climate change? pollution
Name: orange peels

  1. How long do they take to decompose? 3-6 months
  2. What resource / fossil fuel are they made from? trees
  3. How is this resource recycled? compost
  4.  How does this object contribute to climate change? greenhouse gas

zero waste

Aim: To learn practical ways of recycling so that we can make our world a better place.

How can we prevent climate change though recycling these products?

Plastics: you put plastic in the recycling bin so that it can get reused
Cycling or walking: well if you walk as it won't make as much co2
Paper: just get as much as you can
Steel: don't get overwhelmed with how much steel you buy because it uses co2

Video questions:

What is Zero Waste? zero waste is if you don't make as much rubbish

What can we do on the planet?

  1. we could use reusable products
  2. use sustainable products
  3. we could use compost stuff to stop methane gas
  4. recycle our plastic so it can get turned into other stuff
What do we need to recycle? plastics

What does recycling do? use it for other products

How much of our rubbish is food scraps? 40%

What does soil do to carbon dioxide in the atmosphere? it stores more carbon dioxide

What do we need to do?
  1. Have Zero wast

water cycle

to day I can finely give the findings of the water cycle

Findings:

The Water Cycle: Bag 1
CO2 Water Cycle: Bag 2
Acid
Desert Water Cycle
Bag 3
Does it cycle?
yesyesyes
Amount of Water
222
Acidity
121
Key: Water and acidity amount: 1 = none
2 = small drips
3 = large drips

Other comments:

1. Water cycle 1 had no acidity
2. The water cycled in bag 1
3. The water formed small drops in bag 1
4. Water cycle had some acid in bag 2
5. The water cycled in bag 2
6. The water formed small drops 2
7. Water cycle 3 had no acidity
8. The water cycled in bag 3
9. The water formed small drips in bag 3

Conclusion:
the water did not make as much water because it was to cold so there wasn't as much sun
all of the bags formed the same amount of water
one bag had acid in it and all the acid got stuck at the top
